A vertical software holding company

The race to zero has been won.

Free, purpose-built software for the industries we serve. Built to be the best, funded by a flat 5¢ per card or ACH transaction.

$0 software5¢ per transaction

Ball Vision builds, owns and operates software platforms built to be the best in their industries, from restaurants and golf courses to schools and nonprofits. Every one of them is free to use, funded by a flat 5¢ per card or ACH transaction.

We bring vertical software to market, and we stay to run it.

Ball Vision isn't a fund that buys and flips. We are the owner and the operator: one team that designs, launches and runs every platform in the portfolio.

Build

We find industries where software is expensive and underbuilt, then design a platform for that industry from the ground up.

Own

Every platform is wholly owned by Ball Vision. No outside licensing, no white-labels, no dependence on someone else's roadmap.

Operate

We host, support and improve each platform ourselves, on shared infrastructure for identity, payments and customer data.

Our thesis

Software prices only go one way. We went first.

For two decades, business software has competed on price, a few dollars at a time. Ball Vision skipped to the end: the software costs nothing, and the business model sits in the payments that already flow through it.

Then Now $0

Built to lead its category, not just to be free.

Free only matters if the software is better. Each platform is its own brand, designed with the people who work in that industry every day and held to the same standard by one operating team.

Portfolio

Every platform we own and operate.

Vertical software platforms, each built to be the best tool in its industry and wholly owned by Ball Vision. All of them run on the same model: free software, a flat 5¢ per transaction. The portfolio is growing.

Our model

One operating model, applied to every industry.

The economics are identical across the portfolio. That consistency is the strategy: it lets us enter a new vertical quickly and price it the same way on day one.

Why it works

Payments are built into every platform. Our revenue comes from a flat 5¢ on each card or ACH transaction a business accepts, not from licenses or seats. We earn when our customers earn.

Why it's flat

No percentage of sales, ever. A $5 transaction and a $5,000 transaction carry the same nickel, so the cost of the platform never grows with the business using it.

Why it's permanent

There's no paid tier waiting behind the free one. Free is the product, not a trial, so customers can commit to a platform for the long run.

Shared infrastructure underneath.

Each platform has its own brand and product, but they run on common foundations we build once and reuse everywhere.

Identity

One secure sign-in layer shared across the portfolio.

Payments

Card and ACH acceptance embedded natively in every product.

Customer data

A common CRM and activity model behind every platform.

Marketing tools

Campaign and outreach tools built once for all of our merchants.

Company

Owner-operators, not investors.

Ball Vision is a technology holding company based in Gardena, California. We build and run vertical software for the small and mid-sized businesses that keep communities going.

How we operate.

A few principles hold across every platform in the portfolio, whatever the industry.

Users come first

The people using our software every day are the most important part of every platform. Product decisions start with them.

Built in-house

We design, engineer and support every platform ourselves. Nothing is licensed or white-labeled.

Held for the long term

We don't build to sell. Each platform is meant to serve its industry for decades, under the same owner.

Free means free

No trials, no tiers, no fine print. The software is free and the only cost is a flat 5¢ per electronic transaction.

How a platform comes to market.

Every company in the portfolio goes through the same path, from the first conversation with an industry to running it for the long haul.

  1. 01

    Find the gap

We look for industries paying too much for software that's dated, clumsy or built for someone else.

  2. 02

    Build with operators

We design alongside the owners and staff who'll use it every day, until it's the tool they'd pick even if it weren't free.

  3. 03

    Launch free

The platform goes to market under its own brand with the full feature set, no tiers and payments built in.

  4. 04

    Run it for good

We host, support and keep improving it ourselves, on shared infrastructure that makes every platform stronger.

Partner program

Partners who make great software even better.

Our platforms are free, so this isn't a commission program. Nobody pays anybody. We're looking for industry experts who care about customer service as much as we do, and who want to grow their own business with technology built for the industries they know.

$0To join and stay in the program, and every client you serve gets free software too.
1:1A dedicated partner contact and a direct line to our product team.
100%Of your own services and client relationships stay yours.

Who we partner with.

Partners usually know one industry deeply, and often one platform in particular. What they share is a commitment to the businesses they serve.

Vertical experts

Consultants, associations and specialists who know an industry inside and out, like the restaurant operator who's opened a dozen locations or the golf pro who's run a course. You help businesses get the most out of the platform built for their world.

Service champions

Teams dedicated to outstanding customer service: onboarding, training, setup and day-to-day support. You share our belief that free software still deserves first-class care.

Growth partners

Agencies, franchise groups and service providers who use our technology to grow their own business and strengthen relationships with the clients they already serve.

What partners get

  • Training and certification on the platforms in your industry, kept current as they evolve.
  • A direct line to our product team, so the feedback you hear from clients shapes what we build.
  • Early access to new features and new platforms before public launch.
  • A listing in our partner directory on the platforms you're certified for.
  • Partner support with priority escalation when a client needs help fast.
  • Co-marketing opportunities, such as case studies, events and joint announcements.

What we ask

  • Put clients first. Respond promptly, explain things honestly and treat every business as a long-term relationship.
  • Stay certified on the platforms you represent.
  • Represent the platforms accurately, including that the software is free.
  • Protect client data and use it only to serve that client.
  • Respect our technology. Use it, build your business on it, but don't copy it.
  • Share what you learn so every platform keeps getting better.

How to become a partner.

We keep the program selective so every listed partner meets the standard our clients expect.

Program terms.

The key terms of the Ball Vision Partner Program. The full Partner Agreement, signed at certification, governs the relationship.

1No fees or compensation

No money is exchanged between Ball Vision and partners under this program. Partners pay no fees to join, and Ball Vision pays no commissions, referral fees, rebates or revenue share. Partners may charge their own clients for their own independent services, such as consulting, setup or training, as long as they never represent Ball Vision software as something that costs money or charge for access to it.

2Protection of our technology

All Ball Vision platforms, software, designs, workflows, documentation and related intellectual property belong to Ball Vision. Partners receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them only to serve clients under this program. Partners may not, directly or through others:

  • Copy, replicate, clone or recreate any platform or a substantially similar product, feature set, workflow or user interface.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive source code, data models or underlying logic.
  • Scrape, harvest or extract platform content, structure or data by automated means.
  • Use access, documentation, training materials, early-access features or confidential information to design, build, improve or train any competing product, service or AI model.
  • Create derivative works, or sublicense, resell, rent or white-label any platform.

These obligations continue after the partnership ends. Ball Vision may seek injunctive relief to stop any violation, in addition to any other remedies.

3Twelve months' notice on payments changes

Payments are built into every Ball Vision platform, and we know partners and their clients rely on them. If Ball Vision decides to change, replace or discontinue the payments technology in a platform, we will give partners at least twelve (12) months' written notice before removing any payment tool that is in active use by them or their clients. During the notice period, existing payment tools will keep working and we will help partners and clients transition.

The only exception is a change required by law, regulation, card network or banking partner rules, or to address an urgent security risk. In that case, we will give as much notice as circumstances allow and explain the reason.

4Service standards

Partners agree to provide professional, responsive and honest service to the businesses they support, to maintain current certification for each platform they represent, and to follow the service standards in the Partner Agreement. Ball Vision may review partner performance, including client feedback, and work with partners to address any concerns.

5Client relationships

Each business that uses a Ball Vision platform contracts directly with that platform and accepts its terms of service. Partners may not sign platform agreements on a client's behalf, change a client's account or payment settings without the client's authorization, or interfere with, bypass or misrepresent a platform's payment functionality. Clients are always free to choose, change or stop working with a partner.

6Client data and privacy

Partners may access client data only with the client's authorization and only to provide services to that client. Partners may not sell, share or use client data for any other purpose, must protect it with reasonable security safeguards, must comply with applicable privacy laws and the platform's privacy policy, and must report any suspected security incident to Ball Vision within 48 hours.

7Confidentiality

Product roadmaps, early-access features, pricing strategy, partner materials and any non-public information shared under the program are confidential. Partners will use it only for the program and will not disclose it to others. This obligation continues for three (3) years after the partnership ends, and indefinitely for trade secrets.

8Use of names and logos

Certified partners may describe themselves as a "Ball Vision Partner" and as certified on specific platforms, using only the marks and guidelines we provide. Partners may not use Ball Vision or platform names in their own company names, domain names, social media handles or paid search ads, and may not imply that they are Ball Vision or speak on its behalf.

9Independent relationship

Partners are independent businesses. Nothing in the program creates an employment, agency, joint venture, franchise or exclusive relationship. Partners have no authority to make commitments for Ball Vision, and are free to work with other technology providers, subject to the protection of our technology and confidential information.

10Term and termination

Either party may end the partnership for any reason with thirty (30) days' written notice. Ball Vision may end it immediately if a partner breaches the protection of technology, confidentiality, client data or service standards terms, or acts in a way that harms clients or Ball Vision's reputation. When the partnership ends, partners stop using partner marks and materials and return or destroy confidential information. Terms that by their nature should continue, including protection of technology and confidentiality, survive.

11Warranties and liability

Program materials and platform access for partners are provided "as is." Each party is responsible for its own services, employees and conduct. Except for breaches of the protection of technology, confidentiality or client data terms, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the program.

12Changes, governing law and disputes

Ball Vision may update these program terms with at least thirty (30) days' notice to partners; the twelve-month payments notice in term 3 cannot be shortened by such an update. The program is governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
